Eyes

Can't help but feel like I'm being watched whenever I'm in the house.

  1. Hate that feeling. Gives me the creeps too.

  2. Watch back! Does your computer have a webcam? Leave it on when you're not around, see if it records anything. This is a lot less conspicuous than setting up a dedicated camera somewhere, and it's hard to tell whether a webcam is running or not (it's silent, etc).

Most webcams come with software that can record video snippets.

Also, whatever became of your burglar alarm, is that still enabled?

  3. Great trick that you could use. Put a small piece of paper between the door and the frame when you close the door to the room that leads to the attic. If the paper is on the floor next time you go there, then you will know that something isn't right, and could get, say, a police officer to go up with you

  4. I love the paper trick and think it may be a easy and great way to find out if anything is happening physically.

Are you still held up in the living room?

  5. The webcam idea and the paper idea seem interesting. I might give those a try. And yes, the burglar alarm is still active. I set it when I leave the house and when I go to sleep. So I would now if someone was entering the house and I wasn't there.

  6. burn it down. there are lots of ways that this might accidentally happen. it is the only way to end this madness. other options include

    sell the house

let the next guy deal with it. the guy before you did it to you so you might as well keep the cycle going. eventually someone will come along that is better equipped than you to deal with this.

other than that might i suggest making friends with priests and rabbis? i hear they do some wicked shit in big old houses.

  7. That's dumb, Nemo. Arson and giving up are not options!

  8. Actually, they are indeed options. The latter being a very smart option. Maybe less exciting, but smart!
