Abandoned Buildings

I found the location of the abandoned buildings. Not far from the house at all. Going to check it out with a friend. Wish me luck.

Weird Post

So, I don't know why that last post came out like that but, that's not what I wrote on my phone. I was in the house when I made that mobile post. What I was trying to say is that sometime this week I'm going to head back into the attic.

Developments

Someone named Luke e-mailed me and confirmed the location of the footage from the second tape. The buildings are part of what used to be known as the Belchertown State School for the Feeble-Minded. It was an asylum for children with mental illnesses. It was shut down in 1992 due to disgusting conditions, overpopulation and mistreatment of patients. This is creepy stuff. It's not far from where I live either. Is this where the doctor who lived in my house worked?

Here's some more information. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belchertown_State_School

New Information

Sorry I didn't post anything this weekend, I was out and about a lot. Anyways, this weekend when I went and spoke to one of my neighbors about the previous owners of my house I found some interesting information. Like I've said before, I have previously spoken to this neighbor asking about previous owners of the house. All the neighbors said that no one really sticks out in their mind, because all the owners were moving in and out so quickly. But one of my neighbors said he remembered an older man. So I went back and inquired more about him.

The man that I spoke to this weekend has lived here for, essentially, his entire life. He grew up here and when his parent's died he moved into the house. So he has been living in the cul de sac for around seventy years. He told me he would try his best to remember because this man lived her a long time ago. From what my neighbor remembers, this man was already pretty old when he moved in. Somewhere in his sixties. He was some sort of doctor specializing in mental illness and it's prevention. I had never heard this word before but, he tells me that this man was a 'psychosurgeon'. He also told me that the man worked in the area. Not far from where we live actually. The man kept to himself, and would only go outside to go to work. My neighbor doesn't know why the man moved out or where he would go (as the man was in in his seventies by the time he moved out). He went on to tell me that whne the man moved out, he didn't really "move" in the traditional sense of the word. He put the house up for sale and when it was bought, he just took off. Didn't take anything with him. Just got in his car and never came back.

My neighbor says that it was only after this man moved out, that new owners wouldn't stay long. He says that children in the neighborhood tell ghost stories about my house to eachother.

Nightmare

Had an awful, awful dream last night. It's starting to fade already but, I'll try my best. In my dream, me and a friend went into the attic to investigate. My friend in the dream was someone that I've never met before in real life, as far as I remember. I don't remember much about them, they're features were blurry and distorted. There was this awful, almost mechanical grating sound in the attic that started to grow louder and louder. There was a sickening smell that started get worse and worse, until the point where I could taste it. It tasted acidic and metallic. I remember my friend and I started to gag and dry heave. We both threw up. The attic felt like it was spinning. But not in a perfect motion, more like a warped record spinning on a turntable. Wobbling up and down while spinning. Then we were somewhere else suddenly. Somewhere old, decrepit and dilapidated. Everything was ruined and neglected. My friend was gone. I started running through destroyed hallways and rooms searching for him or her. When I found them, there was nothing left but a decaying corpse. I suddenly felt like I was being watched. I spun around to see who was there, and out of the corner of my eye saw them duck into another room. Then I woke up.

Been Thinking

I've been thinking non-stop about it, and a few people have been kind enough to offer some advice. The consensus seems to be that I should head back into the attic but this time with another person, and a more powerful lamp. I'm definitely consdering it. As much as I don't like to think about going back in, it's better than hiding downstairs in my own house. I can't stay down there forever. Thanks everyone for all your support. It means a lot to me.

Sleep

Settling in for the night. Sleeping bag on an air mattress on my living room floor. Haven't been upstairs since Friday night. Not planning on it anytime soon.

Home

Sorry I didn't post earlier. Got home too late last night, and I just needed to get some sleep. Currently I am not even going to the second story of my house. I slept on the couch last night, and tonight I'll probably bring the air mattress up from the basement and crash in the living room. Nothing strange to report about this weekend. Had a really good time with my buddy and got the attic incident of my mind. But now I'm back. There's something wrong with that attic. Is what happened even possible? Am I losing it?

edit: Just wanted to clear this up, for all the people posting comments about the tall pale guy... that's not funny. I'm fairly certain that fictional monster that was thought up on a comedy forum isn't stalking me in real life. 'Slenderman' stopped being scary a long time ago. So let's forget about him.

Questions.

I'm going to try to answer some of your questions about what happened in the attic. But I'm not really clear on it either. The video is in real time which means I was only in the attic for around two minutes. When I started filming it was about seven. As you can see, it was way later when I got out. The voice... I don't know. No one was there when I got back to the storage room. That's where the voice was coming from. I thought I recognized it. As for 1:38 in the video, I accidentally stepped onto some insulation and fell through a little bit.

On another note. I'm leaving. I can't spend the weekend here alone. I'll be staying at my friend's house for the next few days.

So, the hatch to the attic is open. I'm legitimately scared now. going to grab the camera and see what's up there. wish me luck.

Third Tape

Just decided that when I get home, I'm going to watch the last tape.

Heat Wave

The weather just won't let up! I can't remember the last time there was a heat wave like this. The weather reports say that there's no end in sight either. Heat like this can't last long though, right? At least work is air conditioned. When I get home I need to get my other two AC units put in. Which means I'll have to go into the storage room. I'm not scared, I just don't like being around the entrance to the attic. Something about it put's me on edge. Oh well, guess I'll have to deal with it if I don't want heat stroke. On another note, you guys can expect to see the third tape sometime soon.

Attic Door

It is sweltering hot today! Jesus Christ, I mean really. I hope this heat wave lets up soon. It's about a hundred and three degrees outside my house. So I went to the storage room to grab my air conditioning unit and noticed that a cold draft seemed to be coming from the hatch to the attic. Strange, as the rest of my house is boiling hot. I thought heat rises? Didn't even try to force the hatch open this time. Not sure what to make of this.

I'm back!

First off, hope everyone had a good holiday. I sure did. Spent the long weekend relaxing by the ocean. The best part was that I was able to get away from all this for a bit. But now I'm back and ready to try and figure this out. With your help of course. By the way, you guys can feel free to e-mail me about anything. My address is mattzesiger@yahoo.com
